This is a really simple problem which I didn't figure out until getting frustrated and clicking on the 'Connect' button.

When you attempt to connect to a SAS Workspace server using the 'Server Connections' dialog box (found under File > SAS > Server Connections) you will type in the host IP address and port, as you would expect, but then it doesn't appear that you can connect. What is the problem?! (see screenshot attached):

The problem is that you are not seeing that the 'Connect' button (circled in red in the image above) is actually activated, but remain visually still "greyed out" as if you had not entered the necessary information in the "Machine:" and "Port:" boxes. Click 'Connect', and you should be able to connect to the SAS Server.
